Room to Read seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. There is a problem that there are 750 million illiterate people in the world. Two thirds are women and girls and an additional 250 million are not learning how to read in primary school. Education through learning and reading is the goal.
The entire supply chain to produce these socks are GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and Vegan certified. Crops are not treated with herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, and are not genetically modified. Socks are 75% Organic Cotton,15% Elastane, 8% Polymide and 2% Spandex.
Socks are Men's 8 to 13 or Women's 9 to 14 and made in India.
